Championship Division Match Play Results

Gold/Red Tee Division and Championship Division Beaten's  Final Results

Zelonis/Mulhern Cop Match Play Title

The team of John Zelonis and John Mulhern played solid all weekend on their way to winning the 2022 Emanon Match Play Tournament. The two were the #4 seed in the Championship bracket after shooting a Better Ball of Partners score of 70 to qualify on Saturday. They then defeated (2) opponents in the quarter-final and semi-final 9-hole matches on Sunday. They were paired in the finals with two very competitive brothers Alan and Rich Brown. The teams battled to #16 where Zelonis and Mulhern closed them out to capture the title.

The First Flight was won by the father and son team of  Rich and Joe Petrillo. Petrillo's and the team of Anthony Bellino and Jake Wysocki were tied in the final match after the regulation 18-holes. On the first hole of sudden death, Rich hit his 2nd shot to about 2 feet and sealed the match by making birdie,

The Second Flight winners were another family team. Del Durland and his grandson Jamie Bresnahan who played solid all weekend and took on the talented team of Joel Filipek and Tom Rosencrance in their final match of the weekend. Durland and Bresnahan were victorious.

Harmanos/Rydzewski Capture Match Play Gold/Red Division Honors

The "Dynamic Duo" Steve Harmanos and Jess Rydzewski won 4 out of 5 of their matches enroute to victory in this weekend's  Gold/Red Division of the Emanon Match Play Championship. Teams played (5) 9-Hole matches over the weekend in  Round Robin Format playing all other teams in the division. This was not Steve and Jess' first rodeo as this team has competed before many times in Emanon's Match Play event. The team accumulated 27 total points to edge out their nearest challengers, and 2nd Place honors went to the team of Jim Alba and Ralph Harding who carded 26 points for the weekend. 3rd Place finishers were the mother/daughter team of Heather and Maddy Wharton who finished with 25 points. There was stiff competition throughout the division and this format very well may find a permanent home in this event. Congratulations to the champions and all who chose to tee it up this weekend and compete!
